God’s greatest miracles play out in and around us all of the time. After my parents lost their first child, there was a huge wound that couldn’t be healed. After they had my older sister and older brother they thought that the best thing was to adopt to kids, Synthia and Robert. They were siblings that had been in foster care for some time. They were in the middle of the process already for adoption. My mother was pregnant at the time as well and my family was preparing for a baby. They had clothes picked out, the hand-me-down crib already out and the room halfway set up. My parents went in for my mothers monthly check up. Everything went how it normally went, until the doctor hesitated for a moment. He said, “Oh! I think there’s two heart beats in there!” My parents were in awe. My parents thought that it was a gift sent from God that they were blessed with two girls after they had lost their first child. We have no twins down the line in our family so everyone in our family was in shock. After they had found it out they immediately went to the program they were adopting from and to let them know that they can’t go through with the adoption any longer because they had twins on the way. Because of the loss my parents had went through and because of the chances that she would be having identical twins were close to nothing, I am reminded about everyday how I am a miracle to my family sent from God.
